Spring 2009 Classes

This Spring at Haven’s Horses, we had over 30 homeschool riders participate in Christian Horsemanship classes. Riders participated in a “Cowboy Poetry” curriculum that was 13 weeks long. Beginner riders learned to groom, saddle, and lead their horses as well as walk, trot, and some even learned to lope their horses.

Riders, We sure miss you around the barn. All the horses miss their treats and seeing the same faces each week. We hope to see you back in the fall!

Description: Horsemanship classes: reining patterns, drill patterns, barrel racing, roping, cattle herding,trail rides and groundwork. Grooming – braiding, bathing and you can even paint your horse. Group devotions – encourages spiritual growth by developing a relationship with a horse.

Other activities: painting, crafts, swimming, picnic lunches (bring your own lunch), fishing and hiking.
